On the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, in the south of the Hengduan Mountains, and in the depth of the Anning Valley, there is a beautiful land. As the ancient poem goes, "the mountain is like a crown, and the water is tranquil", which is Mianning. The annual average temperature here is maintained at 16.5 ℃, and the sunshine duration is maintained between 2100-2200 hours. The rainy season usually lasts from June to September, and runs through summer and autumn. The annual average rainfall is 1000mm. This is a suitable area for high-quality olive trees in China. It hides the largest olive plantation in China - Peaktop Agricultural Olive Planting Base. At present, the whole plantation area has reached nearly 30000 mu.

After three years of research and investigation, we have traveled all over the Mediterranean countries where traditional olives are grown and the emerging countries where olives are grown, such as the United States and Australia. In 2011, Lin Chunfu, chairman of Peaktop Agriculture, selected the Mianning region, which is highly similar to the suitable areas for high-quality olive trees abroad in terms of geography and climate, to open the road of building olive manor. The trial planting of 600 mu, the expansion of 2500 mu, and the comprehensive deployment of 25000 mu were carried out. In ten years, the olive tree has grown from a 50-centimeter-high seedling to a 2-meter-high tree. High-quality tree species that are regarded as treasures in the Mediterranean region: Arbequina, Koroneiki, Arbsana are luxuriant and fruitful here.

At the same time of the successful planting of olive trees, Peaktop Agriculture started the production of olive oil at the same time. The first production should be solid and the second production should keep pace. Now, in addition to the trickle of river water, the Anning River Valley is flowing with liquid gold extra virgin olive oil.Peaktop olive oil won two gold medals at one stroke in the American International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, and won the gold medal of Guangzhou International Oil Expo for seven years.

 

With the vigorous growth of olive groves, olive manor and the natural ecological environment of the Anning River Valley complement each other. Olive town came into being at the historic moment. The three scenic spots of Qionghai scenic spot, olive town and Lingshan Temple are integrated into a new two-hour travel route. The Qionghai seashore views the waves and the moon, the climbing platform overlooks the Anning River valley, and the Lingshan Temple listens to the Buddha.

The olive industry is changing people's lives and promoting the local economic development. More than 6800 local villagers increased their annual income per mu from 892 yuan to 2398 yuan. With regard to these changes, Mr. Lin Chunfu of Peaktop Agriculture said, "We have more than 6800 households in the whole park, of which 386 poor households have been lifted out of poverty. These are the happiest things we have had in the past decade."

After ten years of development, Peaktop Agriculture has now become a demonstration base of the State Forestry Administration, a key leading enterprise of the State Forestry Administration, the first plantation in Sichuan Province, and a benchmark enterprise of poverty alleviation in Sichuan Province, and has won more than 200 honors and awards.
